Quadrics QsTenG 10GigE switches

Scalable 10GigE solutions

QsTenG is a new family of products from Quadrics that takes technology and expertise developed in the HPTC sector and applies it to the rapidly expanding 10 Gbps Ethernet market.

The large-scale compute clusters typically deployed by Quadrics' customers have created a demand for a low cost, open-standards based interconnect within the data centre. State of the art systems are generating many Terabytes of data per day. Their results must be stored in a reliable central filesystem, analysed on the fly, transferred to visualisation systems, moved to archival storage, and recovered for subsequent analysis.

The highly integrated Quadrics 10 Gbps switch is ideal for bandwidth intensive applications such as high performance compute clusters, grid-based computing systems and storage networks.

QsTenG Product Range

Quadrics has produced a range of switch products in order to cover customer demand. The switches come as both standalone fixed size switches or as a modular chassis that takes a number of line cards. The latter products can be purchased with minimal configuration and later expanded by purchasing additional line cards. The switches can also be 'stacked' to provide port-counts larger than a single unit provides.

Quadrics QsTenG compact 1U switch, offers 24 ports in a choice of CX4 or mixed CX4/XFP.
For further information please refer to the TG201 page.

Future QsTenG products

In the future the product range will be expanded to include an extended range of switches using the modular components used in the TG215
